Basic definition and core role

The metal mesh of the hydraulic oil filter is a key component used in hydraulic systems to intercept oil impurities such as metal debris, dust, and rubber particles. It achieves precise filtration through metal wire weaving or sintering structures, protecting core components such as hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders from wear and extending system life.

Material and Structure

1.Main Materials:

●Stainless Steel (304, 316L): High corrosion resistance, compatible with mineral oil, water-glycol, etc.; max. temp. 250℃.

●Copper Wire: Low strength but good thermal conductivity, used in low-temperature/low-corrosion environments.

●Sintered Metal Mesh: Multi-layer porous structure, higher precision (down to 1μm), ideal for high-pressure systems.

2.Structural Types:

●Woven Mesh: Interlaced metal wires (single/multi-layer), precision controlled by wire diameter (0.08–0.5mm) and aperture (3–500μm).

●Wire-Wound Type: Spiral-wound wires with gap filtration, high flow rate but lower precision (15–200μm).

●Corrugated/Folded Structure: Increased filtration area (e.g., TZX2 series), better dirt-holding capacity.

Performance Parameters & Standards

1.Filtration Precision: 3–500μm (80–180μm for coarse filtration; 10–40μm for fine filtration).

2.Working Pressure: 0.6–21MPa (e.g., YL-228 filter has structural strength up to 21MPa).

3.International Standards:ISO 2941 (burst resistance), ISO 2942 (structural integrity), ISO 4572 (filtration characteristics).

●Suction Line (e.g., WU series): Coarse filtration to protect hydraulic pumps from large particles.
