Welded Wire Mesh Panel

Welded Wire Mesh (WWM), also known as welded steel wire mesh, is a mesh product formed by fixing individual metal wires (horizontal and vertical) at their intersection points through resistance electric welding. It features a solid structure, uniform mesh holes, and stable forming, making it a commonly used basic material in industries such as construction, security, and agriculture.

Core Materials

1.Galvanized Steel Wire: Divided into hot-dipped galvanized and electro-galvanized types. The former has a thick zinc layer and strong corrosion resistance, suitable for long-term outdoor use; the latter has a thin zinc layer, mostly used in indoor dry environments.

2.Stainless Steel Wire: Mainly 304 and 316L grades. 304 is suitable for general anti-corrosion scenarios (e.g., indoor decoration, food processing areas), while 316L contains molybdenum, which resists acid, alkali, and seawater corrosion, making it suitable for coastal buildings and chemical workshops.

3.Black Iron Wire: No surface treatment, low cost but prone to rust. It needs to be painted or plastic-coated before use, mostly for temporary protection or low-budget scenarios.

4.PVC/PE-coated Steel Wire: The metal wire is covered with a plastic coating, with optional colors (black, green, white, etc.). It combines corrosion resistance and aesthetics, suitable for garden fences and home guardrails.

5.Mild Steel Wire: Good toughness and easy processing. After welding, it can be used for building reinforcement and wall plastering mesh to improve structural stability.

Processing Features

1.Welding Process: Adopting resistance welding technology, the welding points at intersections have high strength, not easy to break. The mesh surface is flat without warping, and can withstand a certain degree of external impact (e.g., collisions in protection scenarios).

2.Forming Specifications: Can be customized into rolls (length 10-50m, width 0.5-2.5m) or sheets (conventional sizes 1m×2m, 1.2m×2.4m). Mesh hole sizes range from 1mm×1mm (for precision filtration) to 50mm×50mm (for large fences).

3.Surface Treatment: In addition to the inherent properties of the base material, additional powder coating or painting can be applied to enhance weather resistance and decorativeness, adapting to different indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Advantages

1.Stable Structure: Strong welding points, the mesh surface is not easy to deform. Compared with woven mesh (e.g., crimped wire mesh), it is more suitable for load-bearing and protection scenarios.

2.High Customization: Mesh hole size, wire diameter, dimension specifications, and even special shapes (e.g., arc, trapezoid) can be adjusted according to needs.

3.Cost-Effective: High production efficiency, bulk cost is lower than other precision mesh products, and long service life (galvanized type can be used outdoors for 5-10 years, stainless steel type up to 15 years or more).

4.Multi-Functional Adaptation: Combines protection, filtration, support, and decoration functions, and can be used directly without additional processing.
